We have a new leader for best restaurant in the United States (that I have tried)! See my list in my next blog!
Each dish at Monteverde in Chicago was remarkable. This relatively new restaurant got an amazing review in Michelin and should have a star shortly. Almost impossible to get into, our planner Allie chose to go for lunch and we started with a small plate of Burrata E Ham with prosciutto butter which looked simple but was awesome. We made sandwiches of the rosemary tighelle, prosciutto di san daniele, cranberry apple fig mustardo and basil. You have to also get the hand-cut tagliatelli bolognese with parm. I am not a huge fan of Gnocchi (Tyler is) but the pasta was so fresh that and smaller than other’s I have had, that I was really impressed. Topping it off is the relaxed atmosphere which let our granddaughter Andi sleep.
